Commissioning
+ Optimisation

Pumping Station Commissioning

We provide pumping station commissioning whether the station has been designed and installed by Retroflo or by a third party. In some cases, a pumping station may have been installed many years before site occupancy and the relevant Water Company will require certified electrical testing before adopting it into the sewer network. Retroflo’s engineers can undertake the required electrical inspection and testing, and provide the necessary Certification as detailed in BS7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).

We employ a highly effective commissioning methodology and strategy that enables the complete end-to-end testing and verificationof newly installed or refurbished electrical equipment and infrastructure. Our experience in co-ordinating framework contractors and kit suppliersand working with the systems and processes of many of the UK’s water companies ensures the smooth running of the commissioning and optimisation process.

Pumping Station Optimisation Capabilities

Our pumping station-specific EICA capabilities encompass:

  • Electrical: Motors, pumps, actuators, cable management systems, pump control systems.
  • Instrumentation: level sensors, flow meters, pressure sensors, switches.
  • Control Systems: MCC, PLC, SCADA, Telemetry and software systems, variable speed drives (VSDs).

STATION MONITORING Software + Telemetry

Retroflo’s telemetry system utilises GSM mobile technology. The system provides 24/7 monitoring of station conditions, including data feeds and alarms for electricity supply condition, wet well levels and pump condition.
