Retroflo’s award-winning RPC_2000 represents a breakthrough in pump control systems. Developed from the real experience of an engineering contractor with a 20 year track-record in the water sector, the new system addresses the industry-wide need to overcome common operational problems such as high energy costs and frequent blockages. Over the past 18 months the RPC_2000 has demonstrated its ability in some of the toughest sewage network conditions across the UK.
The system uniquely monitors motor power, current, torque and speed, together with wet well level and volumetric flow, and continuously compares this real-time data with up to 10,000 pre-determined reference points per pump to identify and correct operational and efficiency issues. While many of the RPC_2000’s operating features replicate existing pumping station controls, the overall approach is system-wide rather than the traditional method of component-based pump control.
